About the owner…
Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming-but you don't have to navigate it alone.
My goal is to offer a space where you can feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. Hi! My name is Katie Tamborski. My approach to therapy is both structured and flexible. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also recognizing that every person is different.
Together, we'll find what works best for you-whether that means building practical coping skills, processing deeper emotions, or simply having a consistent place to exhale and be yourself. I have a special passion for supporting individuals and families during the perinatal period, including pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As a doula and childbirth educator, I bring both professional knowledge and a deep respect for how transformative (and sometimes overwhelming) this season of life can be. In addition, I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions, and I've had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan-from young children to older adults. I have worked in a prek-8 school, in an eating disorder treatment facility, a private practice and a big agency. Definitely a wide variety of clients! My journey into this field is personal. Growing up, I experienced my own mental health challenges and was deeply impacted by the support of compassionate, skilled professionals. Their care changed my life-and it's what led me to this work. It's an honor to now walk alongside others in that same way.
My faith is an important part of who I am, and I believe God has called me to this work. I'm a Catholic Christian and am happy to incorporate faith into our sessions if that is meaningful to you. At the same time, I fully respect each client's preferences and am equally comfortable keeping therapy non-faith-based. I currently offer virtual therapy to clients located in Missouri, with the hope of expanding to additional states as licensing opportunities grow. Wherever you're starting from, you are welcome here. Let's get through this together.
